New Guinea’s Coral Triangle, often called the 'Amazon of the Oceans' for its rich marine biodiversity, is famous for its crystal-clear waters and coral-rich dive spots.
Hosting over 600 species of coral and 2,000 species of reef fish, PNG’s coral reefs are teeming with life, including dwarf minke whales, whale sharks, sea turtles, and manta rays.
New Guinea is also one of the world's top destinations for wreck diving, particularly due to its rich World War II history.
The warm, clear waters and coral growth have turned these wrecks into artificial reefs, teeming with marine life.
-
Papua New Guinea offers some of the most pristine and uncrowded waves in the world.
Unlike many popular surfing destinations, New Guinea’s surf spots remain relatively unknown, providing a rare chance for surfers to access untouched waves in stunning settings.
The diversity of waves includes long, rolling breaks, powerful barrels, and hollow reefs.
Surfing in PNG comes with the benefit of year-round warm waters, averaging 26°C to 29°C.
This means no wetsuits are needed, and surfers can enjoy warm, tropical conditions while riding the waves.

Trekking in Papua New Guinea is a world-class adventure that combines stunning landscapes, rich biodiversity, and deep cultural experiences.
The country’s rugged terrain and dense rainforests make it one of the best destinations for adventurous trekking enthusiasts.
New Guinea’s trekking routes pass through some of the world’s most biodiverse rainforests including alpine grasslands, montane forests, and glacial valleys, making it a diverse and scenic journey.
The country is home to over 200,000 species of flora and fauna, many of which are endemic.

OFFSETTERS SIGNATURE PROJECT
Offsetters memberships directly support the preservation of the stunning April Salumei rainforest, with each member’s four tonnes of carbon offsets certified by the Verified Carbon Standard, the world’s largest GHG crediting program
What makes this project truly unique is its transparent revenue allocation: 60% of funds go directly to Indigenous landowner groups, empowering them to protect their ancestral lands; 10% supports local government initiatives; and 30% ensures the project's ongoing development and success through dedicated maintenance and consulting teams
Spanning 600,000 hectares of untouched rainforest, April Salumei is a biodiversity hotspot, sheltering vibrant wildlife and supporting thriving local communities under its vast canopies
To date, the project has sequestered 22.8 million tonnes of CO2, making it one of the most impactful and equitable conservation initiatives in the world
